Rod Bench has been in the wealth and risk management businesses since 1972. He was a founder and principal of two significant financial service organizations: Beard, Bench & Mendenhall; and Benefit Administration Company, before forming RA Bench in 1995. Rod also previously served as an executive officer of New England Financial, one of the country’s largest insurance and financial services firms and was responsible for the company’s marketing efforts; product development; the legal, design and administration groups supporting nonqualified deferred compensation plans, health and welfare, pension, profit-sharing and 401(k) programs. Rod is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting and of The Investment Management Consultants Association; and is a past president of both the Yakima and Seattle Estate Planning Councils. He is a recognized expert on the design, financing, reporting, and integration of all forms of executive fringe benefit plans; and the structuring of investment and insurance arrangements to meet the financial and reporting requirements of these programs. Rod also acts as a senior advisor to many highly successful family owned enterprises regarding their succession planning and wealth management issues. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter and holds advanced designations in Business Tax Planning; and Estate Planning from the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
